I needed to assess where I am at for my Post Apoc game Fistful of Lead: Wasteland Warriors for the Recruits convention.
I really needed to polish off and paint my shanty town. Inspired that Spacejacker did some great, quick 15mm stuff last week, this seemd like a good time. and there is only 3 weeks left til the show.
So I now have 14 shanties for my shanty town. I showed the burned out/shelled out shaties earlier. These are the intact ones. All scratchbuilt. Based on 3" square MDF. Here they are:
|
Simple Residence Shanty |
|
A more run down shanty |
|
A scratchbuilt metal container |
|
Secrued merchant shanty |
|
Lean-to |
|
An open food vendor stall |
|
A secured vendor shop |
|
Worn down shanty |
|
Vic's Weapon O'Rama |
|
A pen - for people, mutants, animals...whatever you want. |
I'll do some quick setups with the rubble and trash heaps, etc.
I'm thinking this may be a town scenario: A simple altercation in town has spun out of control in the OutTown slums outside its walls. The Corps of Engineers needs to put it down before it spills into Town. And some opportunistic archaeologists, traders, raiders and muties will try to use the chaos to better their own place in this smear of a world.

Awesome! Some great ideas for me to steal and scale down too. It's so satisfying to get through a batch of these and it's so easy there's no excuse not to. Fantastic work!
Thanks SJ. I need a few more vendor stalls and some 2 story with lean-to. I am dying to get some of the Ratnik/LAM post apoc vendors. But I am tapped out on minis for a while. But I am pleased to finally get these done. Your progress kinda made me go yeah, that would be a nice diversion.
When the Wasteland Warriors set is finally formatted, I'll send you a copy for playtest. It's pretty suitable for solo play. It will scale down just fine for 15mm.
"so easy there's no excuse not to" It's almost taunting!
These shanties look fantastic, amazingly fantastic, and great pics too. The open food vendor stall is my favorite but they all look great, well done.
If any more of those playtest copies are going to be floating around, I'd be interested as well.
These look great, I need to work on a few these too, It's been a while since I worked on my post-apoc stuff.
Sounds great! I'll mentally push my PA stuff forward in my imaginary queue ;)
Suitably grim and inhospitable. Nice work, Addict.
